Offered here is a vintage Canadian military identification bracelet, believed to date from World War II or earlier.

The bracelet features an oval sterling silver identification plate attached to a metal chain, displaying the classic design of early military identification bracelets. The overall length is approximately 20 cm.

One side of the identification plate is engraved with the following name and military unit information:

D.O.C. BYND-HALL
4TH BN. R.C.E.
C.A. (A)

R.C.E. commonly stands for Royal Canadian Engineers. Some of the engraving shows age-related wear, so please refer to the photos for the exact markings.

The lower portion of the identification plate is clearly marked STERLING, indicating sterling silver (92.5% silver content).

No silver hallmarks were found on the chain itself. However, based on its metal appearance, natural oxidation, and overall aged patina, we believe the chain may also be made of sterling silver. As it has not been professionally tested, its exact silver content cannot be guaranteed.

The opposite side of the identification plate originally featured a small sweetheart insignia, which is now missing. Traces of its original attachment remain visible in the centre.

The bracelet shows noticeable signs of age and use, including natural oxidation, surface scratches, and wear consistent with an older piece. The identification plate, chain, and clasp are all present, and the overall structure remains intact.

Please carefully examine all photos for the exact condition, engravings, and details.
