Historical Background
The G24(t) is a WWII German military bolt-action rifle manufactured in occupied Czechoslovakia. Based on the well-known Czech VZ.24, it features the classic Mauser 98 action and is chambered in 8×57mm Mauser (8mm Mauser).
Following the German occupation of the Czech lands in 1939, the Germans took control of the established Czech arms factories and continued producing Mauser rifles for the German military.
Why Is the G24(t) Rarer Than the Standard VZ.24?
The original VZ.24 was produced in large numbers beginning in the 1920s and exported to numerous countries worldwide.
In contrast, the G24(t) was produced specifically during the German occupation, with a much shorter production period and significantly lower production numbers compared to the standard VZ.24.
As German military production requirements evolved, the G24(t) was eventually replaced by other Mauser models manufactured to German specifications.
Today, G24(t) rifles are generally much harder to find than standard VZ.24 rifles, particularly examples retaining German military acceptance markings and matching serial numbers, making them especially interesting to WWII German Mauser collectors.

Overall Condition
Wood Stock: Very clean overall, with attractive wood grain. The upper handguard and main stock have closely matching colours, with no noticeable colour difference. There are small areas of wood damage and handling marks along both sides of the receiver.
The original sling attachment point on the left side of the stock has been removed and neatly filled with a wooden plug. The workmanship appears to be arsenal-done, although this cannot be confirmed. Please refer to the photos.
Metal Finish: Well preserved overall, retaining a good surface finish with normal signs of age, handling wear, and minor scratches.
Bolt: Good overall condition, with matching receiver and bolt handle serial numbers. The German eagle marking on the bolt knob remains clearly visible.
Bore: Clear, well-defined rifling with a generally good interior appearance.
Sights: Original-style iron sights with clearly visible rear sight graduations.
Accessories: Cleaning rod is missing.
Please carefully review all photos for the rifle's actual condition, historical markings, and signs of use.
