Offered here is an original Second World War Canadian military optical sight marked "TELESCOPE, SIGHTING, No.22C Mk.II", manufactured by R.E.L. (Research Enterprises Limited), Canada in 1942.
Research Enterprises Limited was established during WWII to supply optical instruments and other specialized equipment for Allied military forces. This example bears the original military markings, including the Canadian/Commonwealth acceptance mark and serial number 1724-C.
