Offered here is a classic Mossberg Model 151K semi-automatic rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle, one of Mossberg's more distinctive post-war sporting rifles produced during the early 1950s.
The Model 151K features the unique buttstock tubular magazine system, loaded from the rear of the stock rather than from beneath the barrel. The original brass magazine tube is included and present. The rifle is fitted with an attractive walnut stock featuring a Monte Carlo-style comb and thumb-rest configuration typical of premium Mossberg sporting rifles of the era.
This example retains its original hooded front sight and is fitted with a period-style scope mounted on factory-type rings. The scope appears to be an older vintage unit that complements the rifle's classic appearance.
The metal finish remains in very good overall condition, showing only light handling marks consistent with age. The stock displays normal cosmetic wear from decades of use, including scattered dings and scratches. The stock shows expected handling marks, scratches, and wear consistent with age. A previously repaired area is present near the toe of the buttstock. The repair remains solid and stable, although it is cosmetically noticeable and not professionally blended into the surrounding finish.
The bore shows strong rifling and remains bright with only minor wear visible.
