Chambered in .303 British, this Enfield bolt-action rifle was manufactured in 1917 and features a 22.5" barrel. It has a sporterized two-piece wood stock with a pistol grip, raised comb, and slip-on rubber recoil pad giving a 14" length of pull. The bolt is numbered to match the receiver. The rifle has been drilled and tapped to accept a mounted Weaver K2.5 60-B scope with clear optics (one cracked lens) and fine crosshair reticle. The forearm has been reshaped from its original military configuration, the rear sight removed, and a blade front sight with ramp remains. The blued metal finish shows light surface rust spots, scratches, and handling marks consistent with service use, while the stock displays hunting wear and finish marks typical of older sporter conversions. Bore condition is good with visible rifling. Includes detachable magazine; sold as shown. A solid shooter or restoration project representing a classic 1917 Enfield action in a handy sporterized form.
