This is an authentic WWII production Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk I rifle, manufactured in 1943 at the Long Branch Arsenal in Canada. This rifle is a fine example of Canadian wartime production, which supplied the Commonwealth forces during WWII.
Markings: Receiver marked "No.4 Mk I – 1943", with correct wartime inspector’s stamps. Unlike later production, many 1943-dated Long Branch rifles did not bear the full “Long Branch” roll mark on the receiver wall, a known wartime variation.
Serial Numbers: This rifle is highly desirable as it features matching serial numbers on the receiver, bolt, and magazine (marked AV18959) — a rare and collectible “three-piece matching set.”
Condition: Wood shows honest service wear with no major cracks, retaining a solid structure. Metal retains original wartime finish with expected patina from age.
Bore: Bore remains strong with clear rifling.
Additional Features: Comes with correct wartime pattern sling.
A rare opportunity to acquire a Canadian-manufactured, fully matching WWII Long Branch No.4 Mk I rifle — an excellent addition for collectors of Commonwealth military firearms.
