Swedish Mauser M1901 Sporterized Rifle

Offered here is a Carl Gustafs Stads Gevarsfaktori Swedish Mauser Model 1901 chambered in 6.5x55mm. This is a sporterized bolt-action rifle that remains in good to very good condition overall, especially for its age.

The barrel has been professionally shortened to 17.3", and the upper handguard has been removed as part of the sporter conversion. The rifle is now fitted with a modern Williams adjustable rear peep sight for improved accuracy. Metal condition is generally clean with a light, even patina and mild age-related finish wear, but no major pitting or corrosion visible. Bore is grey with distinct rifling, and the bolt action cycles smoothly.

Serial number 11641—with the last three digits matching on key components including the magazine plate, bolt, bolt handle, bolt release, and rear of the firing pin.

The original cartouche is still visible on the right side of the stock, which is in good condition with a clean, glossy finish and only minor handling marks. The length of pull is approximately 13.5".
