This is a sporterized U.S. Remington Model 1917 bolt-action rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield. The rifle features a clean 24" barrel and retains its robust Enfield-style action. The bore is bright with strong rifling, and the bolt cycles smoothly. It has been re-stocked in a nicely finished hardwood Monte Carlo-style stock, paired with a ventilated rubber recoil pad for added comfort. A Williams fiber optic rear sight has been installed for improved visibility.
Originally a military service rifle used in WWI, this example has been converted for sporting use—making it an excellent choice for hunting or as a collectible shooter. A rugged, accurate rifle with a lot of history behind it.
