Hungarian M44 carbines were manufactured post-World War II and are well regarded for their consistent build quality and relatively limited production compared to Soviet counterparts.

The rifle retains correct Hungarian features throughout, including the original side-folding bayonet assembly, proper M44 rear sight, and matching Hungarian serial number format with a “BD” prefix. Clear Hungarian “02 / B02” inspection and acceptance marks are present on the metal components and stock, confirming authentic Hungarian military origin. All major components appear correct to the rifle and consistent with Hungarian military configuration; please note that the bolt serial number does not match the receiver, while the remaining components and stock are correctly marked.
