Offered here is a deactivated Polish WZ.43/52 submachine gun, the Polish-produced variant of the famous Soviet PPS-43 designed by Alexei Sudaev during the Second World War.
This example was manufactured in 1953 by Factory 53, as marked on the receiver. The firearm retains the iconic stamped-steel construction and military profile that made the PPS-43 one of the most recognizable submachine guns of the Cold War era.
Features include a post front sight with protective ears, ramp-mounted front sight base, L-flip adjustable rear peep sight with U-notch apertures, ventilated barrel shroud, integral muzzle brake, two-piece checkered black polymer grips, folding steel buttstock, and original sling swivels.
The firearm has been professionally deactivated and is sold strictly as a display and collector's piece. The deactivation includes six welds on the underside of the receiver assembly. The action is permanently immobilized and does not cycle. The magazine is fixed in place and cannot be removed. The firearm cannot be field stripped or disassembled. The only moving component remaining is the folding stock, which still functions for display purposes.
Overall condition is very good, retaining an attractive military appearance with original-style blued finish and honest handling wear consistent with age and storage. Markings remain visible, including the Factory 53 production code and 1953 date.
