This is an original Canadian Red Ensign flag featuring the 1921 coat of arms with green maple leaves, the version officially in use between 1922 and 1957. Based on its material (cotton/linen blend), stitching, and printing style, this example most likely dates to the 1930s–1940s, covering the WWII era.
Dimensions: 32 × 16 inches (small display/parade size)
Material: Cotton/linen fabric, period-correct weave
Design: Union Jack in canton, Canadian 1921 Arms with green maple leaves
Construction: Single-needle stitching, folded hem edges, printed pattern with visible age patina
Condition: Good for age; some fraying along the fly edge, light discoloration, and typical wear from use and storage. No modern repairs or synthetic fabric replacements.
This flag represents an important piece of Canadian history during the period when the Red Ensign was used both domestically and overseas, including by Canadian forces in WWII.
