A well-preserved 1943 Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk I, chambered in .303 British and originally manufactured at Royal Ordnance Factory Maltby during the Second World War.

This rifle was later subjected to a British military Factory Thorough Repair (FTR) at ROF Fazakerley, as indicated by the clearly visible “No.4 Mk I (F) FTR” marking on the receiver. It remains in the No.4 Mk I configuration and is fitted with the desirable Mk II micrometer rear sight.

The receiver, bolt, and magazine are visibly matching. The rifle retains its military wood furniture, brass trap-door buttplate, and web sling. The stock and metal components display normal service-related handling marks and wear consistent with a military rifle of this age.

The bore retains strong and clearly defined rifling. Overall, this is an attractive wartime-production Maltby No.4 Mk I with genuine British military FTR history and good visible matching characteristics.
