This Mosin-Nagant Model 91/30 bolt action rifle was manufactured in 1932 at the historic Tula Arsenal in the Soviet Union. This example features the desirable hex receiver, commonly found on earlier production rifles and often associated with higher machining quality compared to later wartime round receivers.
The rifle retains matching serial numbers on the receiver, bolt handle, and floorplate, indicating a properly arsenal-refurbished and force-matched configuration typical of Soviet refurbishment programs. The receiver and barrel markings remain clear and well defined, including the classic Tula star arsenal crest.
The rifle shows evidence of arsenal refurbishment, including a refinished Soviet stock and standard service finish. The wood stock remains in solid condition with normal handling marks and storage wear consistent with military service and long-term storage.
The bore is in very good condition with strong visible rifling, appearing well above average for surplus examples. The rifle retains its original cleaning rod and standard military configuration.
Additional commercial import markings indicate Russian surplus export through the European commercial market in the modern era, which is common among Mosin-Nagant rifles currently available to collectors.
This rifle represents an early pre-WWII Soviet production example and would make a solid addition to any military surplus or Mosin-Nagant collection.
