Manufacturer & Label:
Box label reads: “20 Pist. Patr. 43 m.E., 1944 aux 39”, indicating production by Polte Armaturen- und Maschinenfabrik, Werk Magdeburg (code: aux) — one of the primary wartime producers of Kurz ammunition.

Designation: Pistolenpatrone 43 m.E. (mit Eisenkern – steel core projectile)
Year: 1944
Manufacturer Code: aux
Primer Type: Zdh. 88/40
Packaging: Original cardboard box of 20 rounds on 4 metal 5-round stripper clips (marked “flp 44”)

Ammunition remains in excellent collectible condition, with clean steel cases showing uniform dark-green lacquer finish and clear headstamps.
Box retains original label and wartime paper wrapping with only minor wear from age.
Historical Note:
The 7.92×33mm Kurz cartridge was revolutionary — bridging the gap between full-power rifle and submachine gun ammunition.
It powered the StG 44, considered the ancestor of all modern assault rifles.
Collector’s Value:
Original boxed wartime Kurz ammunition has become increasingly scarce.
An intact 1944 aux 20-round box with stripper clips is a highly desirable collectible among WWII ordnance enthusiasts and German small arms collectors.
Special Statement:
These are vintage, historic cartridges and are sold for collectible and display purposes only. We do not recommend firing original wartime ammunition. If you intend to use them, please consult a qualified gunsmith for inspection and possible professional reloading/refurbishment before any attempt to fire. Thank you for your understanding.
