WWII Australian 1907 Pattern Bayonet | Fits .303 Caliber Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk III (SMLE) Rifles | 1943 Dated with Scabbard

Original WWII Australian 1907 Pattern bayonet, designed for the .303 caliber Short Magazine Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk III (SMLE) rifles. This example is ricasso marked:

• “MA” over “07” over “4 43” – indicating Lithgow production, April 1943.

• Opposite ricasso marked with bend test “X”, broad arrow, and “OA” (Orange Arsenal rework/inspection).

Features include:

• Blade Length: approx. 16 7/8"

• Overall Length: approx. 21.75"

• Grip: Two-piece wooden grips, one side stamped “SLAZ42” (Slazenger manufacture, 1942).

• Pommel: Steel construction, no visible markings.

• Scabbard: Original leather and metal scabbard, leather stamped “MANGROVITE” (Australian maker), with both metal ends marked “OA”.

This bayonet has no quillon (wartime simplified pattern). It shows service use with honest wear on the scabbard and hilt, but the blade retains a strong profile and finish.
