Rare collectible lot of 1938 Austrian 8×56R Mannlicher military ammunition, consisting of 10 rounds with two 5-round Mannlicher en-bloc clips and period cardboard packaging.
The cartridges are dated 1938 and feature distinctive period eagle markings on the case heads. Both en-bloc clips are also eagle marked, making this a particularly attractive set for collectors of Mannlicher rifles, WWII-era militaria, and historical military ammunition.
The 8×56R M30S cartridge was primarily used with Steyr-Mannlicher M95-series rifles and carbines converted to 8×56R, including the M95/30 and related variants. The distinctive 5-round en-bloc clip is an integral part of the Mannlicher M95 system.
