The Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk I is one of the most iconic military bolt-action rifles of the Second World War and served as the standard British service rifle throughout much of the conflict. Known for its smooth action, 10-round detachable magazine, and exceptional rate of fire, the No.4 remains one of the most respected military surplus rifles ever produced.
This example remains in its original military configuration, featuring the full-length military stock, aperture rear sight, protected front sight, and detachable 10-round magazine. The metal finish shows normal service wear while retaining a very attractive overall appearance.
The bore is bright with strong visible rifling. The wood furniture remains in very good condition overall, showing typical handling marks from service and storage. A repair or stabilized crack is present at the wrist area behind the receiver and should be noted, though it appears secure and does not detract from the rifle's overall presentation.
