Original 30-round belt in sealed brown paper box, dated Showa 17 (November 1942). This is a complete and authentic wartime package for the Type 92 Heavy Machine Gun, Japan’s standard ground-mounted heavy MG during WWII.
The label reads “九二式重機関銃普通実包 三〇発” (“Type 92 Heavy Machine Gun Ball Ammunition, 30 Rounds”) with arsenal and inspection marks, including the Imperial Army star seal. The box remains factory-sealed with its original string tie and red arsenal stamp.
Inside is a full 30-round metal link belt of 7.7×58mm Type 92 Ball cartridges, featuring brass cases, spitzer bullets, and colored primer sealant — all standard features of mid-war production. These cartridges were used in both the Type 92 and Type 97 machine guns, and represent Japan’s shift to rimless ammunition for sustained automatic fire.
This example is exceptionally well-preserved, retaining its complete paper seal and original contents, making it a museum-grade collectible piece of WWII Imperial Japanese ordnance history.
