Original 10-round box made by Považské Strojárne, Považská Bystrica, Czechoslovakia. Factory-loaded soft-nosed 8×57mm Mauser cartridges (15.5 g bullet, 2.45 g “Sm 5” powder), produced during the Cold War period for hunting and export markets.
Headstamp reads “PS 8×57”, confirming origin from this state-owned factory.
Please note this is the later 8×57 IS (spitzer/soft nose) type, not the earlier M1888 8×57 J round-nosed cartridge used in Gewehr 88 rifles.
Well-preserved paper box with green factory seal — unopened and complete.
Highly collectible Cold War–era ammunition from Czechoslovakia.
Intended for collection or display; if the buyer intends to fire, please have a qualified gunsmith inspect the cartridges for safety.
