This classic Beretta S54 is a quality Italian-made over/under shotgun chambered in 12 Gauge. Manufactured during the 1970s–1980s era, the S54 series is well regarded for its solid construction, excellent balance, and traditional Beretta craftsmanship. These early Beretta over/under shotguns helped establish the reputation that would later lead to the famous 680-series and S686 models.
This example remains in very attractive overall condition. The metal finish presents well with only light handling marks consistent with normal use and age. The walnut stock and forend display attractive grain patterns and remain clean and solid throughout.
A desirable feature of this shotgun is that the receiver, barrel assembly, and detachable forend all retain matching serial number B09****, indicating the shotgun remains together as an original matching set.
The bores are bright, clean, and well maintained. The action locks up tightly and functions properly. This shotgun is fitted with a traditional extractor system and does not feature automatic ejectors, with spent shells being lifted for manual removal when the action is opened.
