Based on the Italian proof date code “XXVI,” this example dates to 1970, the final year of production for the original A300 series.

Features a ventilated rib barrel measuring approximately 29.2", which closely corresponds with the factory-listed 30" barrel specification. The barrel is marked “CAM 70,” indicating a 2¾" (70 mm) chamber, along with an 18.3 mm bore marking and Beretta’s chromium-molybdenum high-tensile steel designation.

The metalwork remains in very good overall condition, retaining a strong finish with only minor handling marks, light scratches, and wear consistent with its age. The bore is bright and clean as observed.

The wood stock and forearm are exceptionally clean and solid, with attractive grain and well-defined checkering. The shotgun retains its Beretta grip cap and Beretta buttplate. Only minor handling marks are visible on the wood. Considering this shotgun was manufactured in 1970 and is now more than five decades old, the condition of the wood is exceptionally well preserved and can be considered near excellent.

Overall, this is a very well-preserved example of an original-generation P. Beretta A300. The metalwork, wood, and bore all present exceptionally well for its age, making this a particularly attractive example of a classic Beretta semi-automatic shotgun.
